Probably the funnest movie of 2009, and by far the best reboot of a franchise since Batman Begins erased all the bad memories of Joel Schumacher's Batman movies.

Finally, Hollywood makes a movie featuring the Vatican. Luckily Ron Howard was at the helm, making it a great film all around.

How did the cylons come about? Well check out this made for TV movie that is the pilot for the SyFy show of the same name. You don't have the spaceships and battle scenes like in Battlestar Galactica, but the story is just as mature and involved.

2009 is probably the year in which the rest of Hollywood caught up with Pixar in terms of the quality of animated movies. 2009 started great with this highly popular cartoon. Mixing comedy, some romance, some drama, and of course the subthemes of friendship, honesty, and loyalty, this might be the best animated release for the month of March.

Another blockbuster for Christian Bale. As the 90's were dominated by Tom Hanks and to a lesser degree, Kevin Costner, this decade seems to be shaping up to be the decade of Bale and Depp. Bale of course is anchoring the more serious movies, such as the two Batman Hits, the Prestige, and now this reboot of the Terminator series.
